In July 2006, when the photographing and describing works of cross-stones in Artsakh were conducting, discovered dozens of new khachkars and tombstones. Among these findings it is deserving consideration the three-dimentional cross with equal lings enclosing in the ring finding in the village Qolatak. Near Qolatak is situated one of the most ancient monasteries ` Metsaranits St. Hakob. It is possible that our findings are descended from that Monastery. It is from the 5th-6th centuries, and in these forms it is the unique pattern in Armenia. It is very important for the revealing of Armenian-Irish cultural relationships, as it belongs to the so-called High crosses type.
